If there is one garden plant that makes you feel like you’re in the Mediterranean, it is Bougainvillea. Its brightly coloured flowers come together to form a veritable sea of flowers in your garden or on the patio or balcony.
BOUGAINVILLEA RANGE
The Bougainvillea shipping period is one of the most colourful periods of the year at our nursery. Because Bougainvillea comes in four colours: white, yellow, orange and red. Together, this mix of colours creates a colourful spectacle in our greenhouses. Bougainvillea is inherently more of a hedge-forming plant; the form in which you have probably encountered it on holiday in Spain, Portugal or Italy. Luckily it is also possible to enjoy Bougainvillea in northern Europe. HD Plants grows Bougainvillea in two forms: with a frame and as a pyramid.

HOW TO LOOK AFTER BOUGAINVILLEA
Originally from warmer climes, Bougainvillea thrives in a sunny setting. Even in the northern European climate you can enjoy the vibrant floral splendour of this plant for about four months, from June to September. It is important to note that Bougainvillea is not able to cope with frost.

- Prefers a sunny spot
- Water every day on dry days in summer, once a week during the other seasons
- Feed once every 2 weeks in summer
- Between 10 and 30o Celsius
