THUNBERGIA ALATA RANGE

This fast-growing climber, which is native to Africa, is known for its attractive flowers and rich green leaves. HD Plants grows Thunbergia Alata in four colours: red, yellow, white and orange. The flowers are brightly coloured and have a dark brown ‘eye’ in the centre, which gives the plant its distinctive name. Thunbergia Alata thrives in warm climates, but you can also enjoy it in northern Europe at temperatures as low as 5o. Place it in a light spot and it will constantly surprise you with its ability to flower and grow.

HOW TO CARE FOR THUNBERGIA ALATA

 

Thunbergia Alata is an elegant climber that is easy to look after. Place it in a sunny spot with at least six hours of daylight. Ensure well-drained soil and moderate watering to prevent root rot. To enable the plant to climb, you can give it extra support by placing a frame and guiding the plant.

  • Suitable for the patio and balcony, also for indoor use
  • Can tolerate partial shade
  • Water daily, do not leave water standing in the pot
  • Feed regularly in spring and summer (once every 2 weeks)
  • Between 5 and 20o Celsius
